Eggsellent- UI Redesign
This project involved redesigning the UI of my previous Food Diary app, which had already received positive feedback from my professor. The challenge was to push the boundaries further, exploring new design approaches and creating a distinct user experience compared to the initial project. My goal was to rethink the user interface entirely, focusing on enhancing usability, creating a fun experience, and overall functionality while keeping the core purpose of meal tracking at the forefront.
Why this project?
This was an individual project where I took on the full scope of responsibilities, from initial concept development to final UI design. I was responsible for all aspects of the project, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design. This project helped me rethink existing designs in a new way and challenge myself.

Role and Contributions
This was an individual project where I took on the full scope of responsibilities, from initial concept development to final UI design. I was responsible for all aspects of the project, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Design Approach and Solution
To redefine the UI, I started by analyzing the shortcomings and strengths of the previous design. I conducted additional user research to gather insights and figured out that while the last design was easy to use, it felt very official. My approach centred around simplifying navigation while improving visual appeal. I explored bold colour schemes, experimented with typography, and incorporated modern UI elements to create a more fun and engaging experience. The redesign offered users a more intuitive and dynamic interface, making meal tracking more enjoyable and efficient.
Design Concept
This app concept revolves around an interactive egg design that symbolises the user's progress towards healthy eating throughout the day. As the user consumes nutritious meals, the egg gradually accumulates stars, representing their adherence to a balanced diet. Once the egg is fully enclosed with stars, it cracks open, revealing an adorable chick as a reward for the user's dedication. Additionally, the meal tracking feature transforms meal cards from grayscale to vibrant colours with cheerful illustrations, reflecting the user's dedication to self improvement.
Testimonial
